Simulated Patient (SimPat) Influx Exercises (2 of 2)

Upon conclusion of the SimPat exercise, the onsite staff from SES will facilitate a 30 minute debriefing session involving participating organization staff and will capture feedback offered from participants regarding opportunity areas identified, lessons learned, and potentially beneficial action items. In addition, the participating facility will be expected to complete a lessons learned / action item work sheet within 7 days of the exercise which will be incorporated into the assessment.

Participant performance during the exercise is evaluated by an onsite external evaluator provided by SES. The facility is also encouraged to provide at least one onsite internal evaluator who also monitors performance and completes an assessment. This information is also integrated into the assessment report.

At 6-month and 1 year intervals, a survey is sent to the primary contact and CEO at the participating facility asking for a status report on their action items as reported. This helps to cue the organization to reflect upon their lessons learned and their progress in addressing action items.
